Getting your Okappy jobs details from another application

Zapier is a way to connect your apps and automate workflows. It moves info between different applications using triggers and events.

Automated workflows could include getting your list of jobs from Okappy and populating a Google Spreadsheet. Read on to find out how to use another app such as Slack to request the details of a job from Okappy.

Note: The Zapier integration and documentation is currently in beta. An invitation is required in order to use the Okappy app in Zapier

If you haven’t already done so, create an account in Okappy and an account in Zapier.

To create your account in Okappy, click the Try for free button at the top right of the page.

To create your account in Zapier, go to Zapier and click Sign up.

  • Click Create Zap
  • Choose Slack

  • Choose New message posted to channel

  • Connect Slack

  • Set up the trigger by choosing your channel

  • Send a message with a job id to your Slack channel and then click Test trigger

  • In 2. Action, choose Okappy Workforce Management

  • In event, choose Get Job Details
  • Select your Okappy account or log in

  • Click Continue

  • Enter a job id in the Slack channel. Alternatively, enter a job id manually
  • Click Continue

  • Click Test action

  • You should see your jobs detail
  • Click Publish Zap
