Linking your Okappy data to other applications using Zapier

Zapier is a way to connect your apps and automate workflows. It moves info between different applications using triggers and events.

Automated workflows could include getting your list of jobs from Okappy and populating a Google Spreadsheet. Read on to find out how to set up a trigger which downloads a list of new jobs from Okappy and populates a Google Sheets spreadsheet.

Note: The Zapier integration and documentation is currently in beta. An invitation is required in order to use the Okappy app in Zapier

If you haven’t already done so, create an account in Okappy and an account in Zapier.

To create your account in Okappy, click the Try for free button at the top right of the page.

To create your account in Zapier, go to Zapier and click Sign up.

  • In Zapier dashboard, Click Create Zap
  • In choose App event – search for Okappy

  • In the Event dropdown select Get jobs

  • Click Continue

  • Select + Connect a new account
  • Enter your okappy username and password
  • Click Yes, Continue
  • Click Continue
  • Enter the number of jobs you would like to retrieve and whether you want to start from a later job

  • Click Test trigger to get your list of Job details

Once you have your data from Okappy, you can connect another app to receive that data. In this case we will use Google Sheets.

In Step 2. Action

  • Choose an App that you want to send data to, in this case select Google Sheets

  • Choose Event, Select Create Spreadsheet Row
  • Select your Google Sheets Account
  • Click Continue
  • Choose your Google Drive
  • Select your Spreadsheet
  • Select your Worksheet

  • Map the data from your jobs results to columns in the work sheet
  • Click Test action

If the information has been sent correctly, you should see A Spreadsheet Row was sent to Google Sheets…

Once you are happy with your workflow, click Publish Zap
